Have you prayed and asked for God to remove something in your life? A situation? A heartache? A person? Or quite the opposite, tightly holding on to something as if your life depended on it?
I have. In 2013, I prayed with all my heart that God would retain and restore the integrity of my marriage. I begged, pleaded and prayed with such passion, conviction and desperation.
However, through the months of anguish and pain, of uncertainty, of struggle and tears, I ultimately surrendered and said, "If this is what you have for me, I TAKE IT!” Little did I know, this prayer and moment of surrender would land me where I am now: PURPOSED.
Sis, sip-on this... if you are holding on to something so tightly, exchange that tight grip and surrender it. Jesus stepped into His situation as a man and surrendered His will and became the Savior of the world!
"Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine."
