Months turned it to days, days turned into hours, and now Thanksgivings day is here. Turkey is ready. Casseroles are baking and my favorite dessert looks delicious.
Now, what to wear?
Where can I get some quick, last minute fashion advice? Before, I can even begin to think, I quickly grab my bible for my morning devotion. This is what it reads:
So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it. Colossians 3:12
Wow, straight from the apostle Paul. Thats' what I will wear: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength and discipline. It's interesting how the most important things tend to get overlooked. Today ( and everyday) let's wear love. As Paul mentions, never be with out it, it's your basic all purpose garment.
