Welcome to a lifestyle of TRUTH & FREEDOM

About Jo-nìc

You are my inspiration. Yes, you. If you are reading this, you are my inspiration. You might be thinking “she doesn’t even know me”. Yes, you are right, I don’t. What I do know is this: you are a child of God, just like me and that means we are family. There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for family.

My hope is to encourage, inspire, challenge and provide you with scripture so that you are FREE to be everything He (God) created you to be in a unique way. The Jo-níc (Jō nēk) way. Truth is Freedom (John 8:32)

How do we get there? Well, first we have to know what He says about us. What we see in the mirror is not what He sees. Oh no, far from it. Sister, His words are truth. Can I call you sister? After all, we are family. I have met so many women who share with me how much they love God but they don’t quite understand the Bible. That was me! Oh, was that me.

So, what better way to share biblical truth than jewelry! The bible says you will know the truth and the truth will set you and free. This was my moment. My monumental, life changing, purpose exposing truth, the day He said, I AM. The words that flowed afterwards became inspiration for my personal life and the inspiration behind Jo-nic Christian designs. This is why each design begins with our Fathers’ name: I AM.

A little more about me, in hopes that you can relate.

I was born in Corpus Christi, Texas and now a current resident of the Rio Grande Valley, Texas. Maybe you can relate, I am a daughter, mother, employee, volunteer, friend, wife, and sister (just to name a few). I openly and humbly share how I overcame the storms of life, from my roots of a category 3 hurricane to my unforgettable landfall, navigating my way through the paths before me; the calm center of the storm or the whirlwind of a funnel that could ultimately destroy everything I touched. My signature landfall was at the feet of the love of my life – GOD and my unforgettable hallmark moment was when he spoke these words: I AM.

From that day forward my life purpose (that I believe was bestowed upon me during my darkest, humbling, yet freeing moments).

So this is how it all began:

Summer of 2013: My heart craved nourishment and fulfillment. I had an unexplained and unsettling hunger and thirst for something unseen and unknown. The thought occurred to me that it would be cool to create unique, one-of-a-kind bracelets while bonding with my oldest daughter over the summer. Little did I know my heart’s cravings were much more than a summer project. The summer started and quickly ended; however, my desire to continue beading was embedded in the strands of beads that remained. I began to notice that my youngest daughter was fascinated by the colorful beads. Did she see more than the vibrant hues and textures of the beads?

My beading continued. A dedication to fasting, reading my bible and prayer was pursued. What appeared stable in my life was revealing itself to be fragile, unsteady and wavering. It was time to place faith in the things that are unseen. Humbling moments occurred and a true display of raw, rare honesty and emotion was at the forefront of life. As the fast neared its end, it was revealed to me that Jesus was the thirst and hunger in life. He was the hunger and thirst that she was craving and only He could truly satisfy. During this time,

He said to me, “I am the bread of life, he who comes to me shall never hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst.” John 6:35. The moment changed my life!

I believe a gift was bestowed upon this project during this time? I was inspired, moved and was now contemplating sharing a vision that was planted in my new-found heart, now beating to be expressed. This is when I began to design bracelets marking my journey towards truth and freedom (John 8:32) The only thing that could make the fervor even stronger was to bead spirituality into each bracelet.

All Jo-nic designs are created with at least one of the TRIO elements: The TRIO of elements were choses to express three traits that personally helped me overcome my darkest moments: TRUE- FAITH, RARE -HONESTY and ICONIC- INDIVIDUALITY.

Metal-knowing that True faith is essential, the metal was chosen to express this essential trait. The one thing that is truly unseen. As sturdy and precious as the metal is, more so is your faith.

Pearls- were selected to express Rare honesty. As rare as a pearl is, so is the honesty that can ultimately set you free.

Iconic beads are an expression of Individual uniqueness. The different shapes, textures and hues are a representation of our own individual uniqueness.

Most importantly and why jo-níc designs are so unique, I personally and prayerfully ensure each design is adorned with a charm that begins with those powerful words He said to me during the summer of 2013: I AM. These two words are the most precious and profound words our God spoke to me. I now exist on earth to share them with my sisters all over the world.

I am a proud mommy of 2 beautiful daughters. My hope is to plant a seed for them and women all over the world that ONE encounter with God will change your life. The Moment, changed mine.

Who does God say that you are? I am still a sister, friend, daughter, mom, but

I AM a child of God,

I AM fearfully wonderfully made,

I AM loved,

I AM beautiful

I AM strong,

I AM courageous

I AM His masterpiece

and so are YOU and that’s truth - biblical truth!

Embrace your Truth + Freedom is waiting for you

Your Sister
